Possum Biting


n. also known as possum wrestling. to engage another in a pseudo-wrestling match where one person is the “feisty possum” or “rabid possum.” that person is the biter, who attempts to bite their opponent on the b-tt or sometimes stomach or other areas. the opponent must try to resist the “possum’s” bite, and subdue the creature. named after the vicious bite one can receive from an opossum. this game is most frequently played in the south, esp. by children.
“my sister and i ‘possum bit’ each other often as children, but we tried not to draw blood.”
