the event in which someone smokes marijuana for the first time. come from the term “pot” (= marijuana) and “bar mitvah”, the jewish ceremony in which an adolescent is intiated into manhood.
as legend has it, the beatles celebrated their pot mitzvah with bob dylan. they had a good time.
