this phase was used back in the 70’s in atlanta, ga. used primarily by gay men, but spreaded throughout college campuses. the term was- “let’s pour some tea”; “i have some tea to pour “; “let me pour some tea in you ear” or “girl, i got the tea!”- “pour the tea! ” tea was gossip, because that what women did when they sipped tea together.
