nickname for soccer/football. this sport is most enjoyed in impoverished third-world countries since its most rudimentary equipment necessity is a ball. shoes are optional. even at a professional level the sport has the cheapest equipment costs. the next cheapest sport is probably basketball.
the fifa world cup is the largest gathering of poverty ball fans in the world every four years.
