power posting
synonymous with spam, it is the posting of multiple messages in a short succession. it is usually done to gain certain privileges that require a certain amount of posts to gain, or to simply boost one’s post count to make them seem like they’re a more experienced user (although this is usually not the case with people who power post)
person 1: -new thread- “omg hi guys!!!”
person 1: -repeats the above about 500 times-
person 2: “i think person 1 might be power posting.”
