prating
prating, which is short for pre-dating, means to date in middleschool. the point of pre-dating is to find out what type of personality traits you like in someone and maybe even to bring it to the next level when you get to highschool if you’re serious with someone, which then you are dating them to find out if they’re marriage material.
“mom i asked out a girl and now we’re prating.” (boy is in middleschool at the time of saying this.)
