a reward in advance of an action. a pre-reward.
i am prewarding myself with a nice lunch before a busy afternoon at work
you often try to set up rewards for yourself, so that you have something to look forward to while doing tedious work.
however, much more often, you end up using up these rewards without even having started working.
– i wanted to reward myself with a nice bath and reading a book after having learnt for school. but somehow the bath and book were finished before i even opened my school bag. i reckon i prewarded myself.
(noun): something you do for yourself (or give or allow yourself) now for something you’re going to do later. essentially, it is the outcome that happens before an event takes place.
