Proofs without words
also known as “look-see” diagrams. a phrase that refers to the intuitive use of a geometric diagram to supplement an oft-dull algebraic proof.
at best, proofs without words are pictures or diagrams that help us see “why” a particular statement may be true, and also see “how” one might go about proving it to be true.
