people who are promoted as being “famous” despite the fact they’re really not all that notable, and are frequently “famous” for no readily apparent or worthwhile reason.
most reality tv contestants and local “media personalities” are examples of a psuedolebrity- they’re not really all that notable but the media wants you to think they are.
