PWEI

acronym for pop will eat itself, an influential rock/rap/dance/agit-prop/crossover band from the west midlands of england who formed circa 1986, broke up in 1996 and then reformed in october 2004.
did you see pwei last night? they rocked!
a decent group from 1990s ( trent reznor was inspired by these guys) they fused punk, rap, industrial, dodgy samples, and indie dance way before primal scream turned tried to do this and limp bizkit’s p-ss poor rap metal took over. have now reformed and hopefully will get the respect they deserve.
on radio pwei, turn it up, turn it up high!
