the time of the day when tv is at its least interesting: usually anywhere from 12 midnight to about 8 am on any given day, when the programming you’re most likely to see is dull economic news, domestic political fare, and, worst of all, infomercials. rem=rapid eye movement, a stage of the dreaming process.
one thing i hate about being a security guard is having to come home to the rem slot when i want to watch tv!
