Rolling Truck Stones
“rolling truck stones” is a quote from the cl-ssic deep purple song “smoke on the water”. it refers to a mobile recording studio built into a truck, which was previously used by the rolling stones. it was also used by led zeppelin, among others after the stones were done with it.
the fact that deep purple’s vocalist ian gillan says “rolling truck stones” instead of the more logical “rolling stones truck” was possibly just a “brain fart” on his part.
we ended up at the grand hotel
it was empty cold and bare
but with the rolling truck stones thing just outside
