fear that walruses (odobenus rosmarus) are sercretly infiltrating the united states government, media, and entertainment industries; and stealing u.s. secrets. many who suffer from this condition also believe that walruses have built an advanced industrial civilization in unexplored areas of the continent of antarctica; and possess an economic market backing a currency far superior to the u.s. dollar.
a prime example of rosmaphobia is the widespread believe that u.s. president william h. taft was a walrus. other famous figures popularly speculated to be walruses include television host jaime hyneman, and controversial film director michael moore.
