Sanchez Line
similar to the mendoza line in major league baseball. named after samuel sanchez who spent three years as the #1 person on the aurora (il) police eligibility list and never get hired. it is the imaginary line between two numbers on an eligibility list that separates people who have a chance of being hired and those that do not have a chance. it is not good to be anywhere close to the sanchez line.
i’m number 28 on the list and i don’t think i will be hired because i am too close to the sanchez line.
that would suck to be that sanchez guy and be number 1 for three years and never hired before the list expires
the department is hiring 10 so anything below 20 would be around the sanchez line.
