sarah lawrence is considered an alternative school, in that it allows students to create their own plan regarding their education. the arts are highly emphasized, and the teacher to student ratio is one of the best in the country. (ranging somewhere from 6:1 to 9:1.)
sarah lawrence is famous for its large proportion of females to males, usually recorded as somewhere between 60-85% female. the school is also well known for its liberal att-tude, and artistically inclined students.
i decided to attend sarah lawrence because of how small and personalized the programs are.
