sauce chasm
the gap between the crust of a pizza and the beginning of the cheese. the exorbitant amount of sauce that is collected in between the two, serving no other purpose than to p-ss you off. the no man’s land where the cheese ends and the crust begins, covered only by marinara.
i left an extra inch of pizza because the sauce chasm was too overpowering.
