the word is used to describe the fallout of an event that affects one or more people in a bad way. can also be used to accuse someone of spreading lies.
you know when a the sh-t hit’s the fan that’s bad right. well if nuclear bombs are detonated at alt-tude they cause more damage than if detonated at ground level as they affect a wider area because they aren’t blocked by buildings. imagine if you dropped sh-t on a helicopter at alt-tude.
