Schlenk
verb: to use the wrong eating utensil at the wrong time: for example, using a knife to drink one’s smoothie. oftentimes, to schlenk at a fancy dinner party can result in being thrown out, and/or can bring a sense of shame that can last for days. to prevent schlenking, one can buy or make a schlenker (see noun: schlenker).
helen: “notice the way that stableboy schlenks at the dinner table. how absolutely dreadful.”
