scrumpty
a word used mostly in the south-west england to describe someone who is a numpty (a bit dopey/silly), but also very attractive and loveable.
i.e. scrumptious + numpty = scrumpty.
the word also sounds very much like an english south west type of cider: scrumpy.
after trying to impress joan, paul managed to make a bit of a fool of himself.
joan to a friend: “ah, he might be a bit dopey, but he’s definitely gorgeous.”
friend: “a scrumpty then.”
