the notoriously common house, found throughout the suburbs of great britain. are houses joined together by a “party wall” to save sp-ce i presume. the most common ones were built in the 1930s, to a decent enough standard that only now in 2011 they are starting to fall down around your ears, with insurance companies being called out for constant repairs. they are the dwelling of the english middle cl-ss, a family on £45,000+ pa, 2 cars under 10 years old and go abroad twice a year. are overpriced for their size, costing on average around £180,000 and going upto £600,000. in all honesty an identical home in america would cost half as much, but what can you do. they are f-cking everywhere, trust me, try any suburb, you’ll find 100s of them, each of them in groups of 6 and then broken up by a detached version of the same property.
