a person raised by strict parents who refuse to expose their children to the real world.
a shelter child is a person that becomes violently offended when they hear of other people taking their kids to midnight movie premiers on school nights even though they themselves don’t have children.
a shelter child thinks premarital s-x is evil. and even though it’s natural, it’s not okay (even safely)
a shelter child lets their parents control their lives until they’re 25.
a shelter child can be strongly opinionated and want everyone to agree with them even though they won’t listen to another person’s differing views.
a shelter child won’t realize a person hit by a car and an animal hit by a car don’t look that different on the side of the road.
a shelter child doesn’t think it will ever happen to them.
all in all, these are the people that are in for the shock of their lives when they realize how this world really works and that it’s not all fun and games.
the world isn’t a bad place, but many people have misconceptions about what happens in it on a day to day basis. your beliefs are as good as mine, but it’s important to keep an open mind and realize the world isn’t always nice.
