1.a term coined by sunnyvale trailer park supervisor jim lahey to describe ricky, julian and bubble’s result of their failure to solve a problem.
2.to describe someone in a really bad situation.

randy-“mr.lahey not another night of the sh-t abyss, please…”
mr.lahey-“ah f-ck it…”
2. james got his girlfriend pregnant with twins, i tell you, that guy is in the sh-t abyss.
1.) a never ending hole full of sh-t
2.) a metephor which can be used in place of: jail, heaven, h-ll, or anywhere that is f-cked up and life-ruining
if ricky doesn’t stop smoking weed and hash he will end up in the sh-tabyss.
the sh-t abyss by my understanding is a terrifying place of reckoning, a place and time where you will be forced to face yourself and your decisions. it is referenced by the great mr. lahey on the trailer park boys when warning ricky about his shinanaigans.
“rick, your going to be consumed by the abyss. you know what that is rick, the sh-t abyss? in the abyss there’s nothing but you and your character.”
