skepticate


when one is influenced by another’s skepticism to change one’s own action. usually, one is doing something that is generally held to be unwise, but seems to be a brilliant idea to the beholder.
i was going to jump off the roof of our building with an umbrella, but my brother skepticated the idea. later, i read in the paper that a man jumped from his building with an umbrella and broke both his legs.
