an area of sidewalk running past an abandoned house, vacant lot, or lazy person’s home that remains unshoveled after a snowstorm.
example #1: the post-blizzard walk to somerville wasn’t bad except for crossing that treacherous snowman’s land next to the junkyard.
example #2: our neighbors never shovel their sidewalk! it’s always a complete snowman’s land in front of their house even after the whole street is clear.
