literally meaning south scottsdale, arizona. sodale is the southern-most part of the city of scottsdale, which is located in the county of maricopa, arizona. although scottsdale is known commonly as an area of wealth ranging from an upper-middle cl-ss to an upper-cl-ss, south scottsdale is home to people that usually do not fit this socio-economical status. the word sodale is most commonly used by lower-middle cl-ss people when they are explaining where they live. the word sodale allows the working-cl-ss people to separate the negative connotations attached to living in a sn-bby area like scottsdale so they are not stereotyped as sn-bs and considered illegit.
