1)a person who has lived most, if not all, of their life in sooke, bc. sometimes viewed as a hick by victorians, who are unsure why anyone would want to live out there, apart from the reasonable housing costs.
2)can also refer to a person from any small, suburban community who acts like they live the rural lifestyle.
so i heard you bought a house in sooke- better watch for the sookeabilly crowd. if you’re not careful they’ll have you square-dancing!
