Sophasorous
meaning “sophie lizard”, from greek sophois (sophos, “fatty”) and σαύρος’ (sauros, “lizard”)), is a genus of theropod dinosaur. the species sophasorous wu (wu being short for “wu-tang” in english), commonly abbreviated to s. wu, is a fixture in popular culture. it lived throughout what is now eastern north america, with a much wider range than would be expected of such a lethargic creature. it was among the last non-avian dinosaurs to survive to the cretaceous–tertiary extinction event. possibly due to its adoption of domestic animals.
the sophasorous is a very interesting dinosaur. i wonder how dinosaurs have survived the ice age.
