a j-panese word whose literal meaning is “fancy hearing.” usually, this word refers to musical lyrics that are misheard as nonsensical j-panese. the english equivalent of soramimi is mondagreen.
many flash movies, namely animutations, use reversed soramimi to get lyrics that sound like nonsensical english.
