the source of a sound. where a sound is coming from. a universal name for the person who is speaking, the player who is playing the instrument, or the singer who is singing. a name for the speaker on the wall, or the person speaking through the speaker on the wall. hence, soundsource.
a: what’s the soundsource of that .wav file?
b: that’s a remix of my buddy.
a: what’s the soundsource of that howling? is it wolves?
b: no, it’s just the wind around the apartments here, but it sure sounds like wolves, doesn’t it?
(and then a wolf eats b, of course…)
