Southern Pop
what p-sses for country music for the last 15 to 20 years. the songs are really just regular pop or rocks songs produced with pedal steel guitars or a violin to make it “country”.
person a – “hey, remember southern rock?”
person b – “yeah, bands like lynyrd skynyrd, .38 special, marshall tucker band, blackfoot!”
person a – “well southern pop is the same idea. carrie underwood, miranda lambert, shania, lady antebellum, big and rich…i could keep going but there’s not enough time…”
