Speakermash
a sp-ce where at least two or more sets of speakers can be heard simultaneously. as a result, the listener has difficulty either recognizing or tuning in to what any of the sets of speakers are actually playing.
we walked through the street at 1am and it was just a big speakermash from all the clubs and bars. i heard about 6 different tunes along the way.
we sat outside for a drink but the speakermash was too severe to enjoy the funk, with the cafe being next to 3 night clubs. most of the cars driving by had their stereos blaring too.
i was at the club and walking down the stairs. i stopped to tie my shoelace. lo and behold, i was in a speakermash, hearing the music from both dance floors.
