Stairway Comeback
after being the target of an insult or diss, the recipient is at a loss for words & has no comeback. on the way out of the building walking down the stairs they think of a great comeback they should have used.
insulter: “you think you’re hot sh-t but you’re nothing but a smart-ss.”
recipient: “err… i’m gonna leave now”
–on the way down the stairs–
recipient thinks “d-mn! i should have said that being a smart-ss is better than being a dumb-ss….
grrr another opportunity lost with a stairway comeback”
