when someone is so impressed and in awe of something of artistic value that they start to show manical syndromes. patients sometimes even become aggressive.
after he saw the painting ‘who’s afraid of red yellow and blue?’ he maniacally attacked the painting and stabbed it several times and thus developed the stendhal syndrome.
