when a person fears something or someone because of a known stereotype having to do with that thing or person. fear is 100% mental so people can really make themselves think they are afraid of something based on what they might have heard or what othe people say.
she had a stereotypical fear of needles, but when she thought about it, they weren’t really that bad.
