someone that hangs out regularly at the gym on league night hoping to get picked up on a team. he hopes for no-shows, injuries, does not contribute league dues, and is argumentative despite the fact that he is not a member of any team.
teammate 1: doug hurt his back again so we’re short one tonight. the guy that subbed in for us last week is over there.
teammate 2: he got p-ssed off and argued alot. you wanna pick him up again??
teammate 3: nah, i’d rather play a man short than play with that substidouche.
also correct to use as a proper noun:
