an offspring of soul sector, which formed in ’97, supreme soul is made up of 7 long-time freestyle dancers from the san francisco bay area. yeee! together, ge-nius, kool raul, slim, bionic, frost, mitch& pharside competed in mtv’s america’s best dance crew. their momentum on the show was cut short in a controversial elimination that positioned them in the top 5 crews.
individually, the members of supreme soul see themselves as “beasts” of their own style. but collectively, they create a “monster” — a monster whose reach spans a unique mix of b-boy, house, krump, hip-hop, popping, locking and animation.
to me personally, they should’ve won! full of swag, h-lla tight& knows how to get hyphy.
