tacha-lordies


slang for “tachyalordies”, from the greek “tachys” for “fast” and the english southern vernacular “lordy” or plural, “lordies”. literally “fast lordies”, or better described as the rapid, repeated vocalization of “lordy”, as in: “oh my sweet jesus, lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy!” this is often used when in a situation that causes the speaker great distress or surprise.
at car accident scene:
woman: omg i never saw it coming. lordy, lordy, lordy, lordy.
emt to paramedic: looks like the patient has a severe case of the tacha-lordies!
