telly monster was a character on sesame street, who was obsessed with television. not only was he obsessed with the “telly”, but he was a notorious worry-wart. personality-wise, telly is a fidgeting, nervous wreck, pr-ne easily to manic behavior and paranoia.
oh look here comes telly monster, we can never watch tv with him around.
