the girlfriend effect is when a man and/or a teenager gets a girlfriend they spend less time with their friends more time trying to impress theur girlfriend. they can also spend the same amount of time with their friends but be some of the following when with them: moody, c-cky, sad, angry, and other effects. this can cause them to lose their friends and then they lose him and there for dislike their friends because there girlfriend has taken over their life
