The instant take-back feeling
the feeling derived after suddenly saying something without thinking about it, therefore creating the desire to take back what you just said. normally following with a slightly embarr-ssed, and guilty feeling.
often this feeling occurs when one is trying to be funny, but many times what is said is either very stupid, or very rude. in most circ-mstances the speaker wonders why they even said it in the first place.
sometimes, one can even get the instant take-back feeling for other people when they say something stupid.
steve: well, god, mia just broke up with me…
bob: mia was fat anyways
bob: (instant take-back feeling)
steve: yeah…
bob: haha…um well, at least you can.. ya’know… date other girls and stuff now…
bob: sorry, i just got the instant take-back feeling…
