The Lord’s Prayer

luke 11:2-4,

our father in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdome come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our sins,
just as we forgive those who sin against us.
lead us away from temptation,
and deliver us from evil.
grandpa always said the lord’s prayer before supper.

to keep evil far away from you & to pray for light to be shone unto those who malevolently slander and sin, devotedly incant the lord’s prayer to protect you & your loved ones from harm. the truth will always remain the truth for man’s perception is rendered false next to the truth seen by the lord. the power of love & faith overrides the viciousness of evil – yesterday, today & eternally. faith in the lord & in his love incinerates all evil. may we gain strength to recognize our sins through the power of introspection and prayer. amen.
you don’t have to be a christian or even a believer in g-d to recite this prayer. it’s universal. just repeat in your most down moments and it will give you strength. i know it gives me strength both during the hardest and happiest moments in life. i have learnt that no matter what people say about you or your actions (occasionally others misjudge your character and engage in ill intended slander) it doesn’t change or alter who you truly are and what you stand for. on occasion, another’s piercing words can equally pierce your heart, but always remember that those are words spoken with ill intent and vision to harm. remain strong and believe in the power of self, for if there is no other to rely on – it is only yourself and those loved ones you truly trust. i have learnt that trying to put out a fire with fire doesn’t work – it only creates an inferno. but if you remain as cool as the waters near a flaming fire, slowly but surely the fire shall die down but the water forever remains. similarly, if you have been slandered, the fire of those words can only be extinguished by the coolness and calmness of your watery spirit.

the lord’s prayer lends us strength in the darkest of times and gives us hope during the hopeful of days and joy each and every moment you breath.
