the snoop dogg syndrome is a term used to describe something or someone who had a fantastic start, but later had a falling curve. the name comes from the artist snoop dogg, who has had this development. he had a fantastic start with “the chronic” and “doggystyle” but has since fallen off and become a shadow of himself.
