Theothanatology
the belief that g-d is dead, or in other words, that religion is dying off. this was coined around the moment in time in which humanity was awakened to the idea that a theistic g-d may not exist.
(in greek, theos means g-d and thanatos means death.)
the death of g-d movement is sometimes technically referred to as “theothanatology.”
