tico time
this phrase is used to describe the nonchalant att-tude costa rican’s (tico’s) have about being (not) on time. this practice is especially annoying to north american travelers and ex-patriots who are used to being precisely on time or even early for appointments/events.
i thought we were starting at 9, looks like everyone around here is on tico time.
