Tom Daschle
(n.) former democratic u.s. senator (1986 to 2004) from south dakota and former u.s. senate majority leader who while holding the minority leader position lost reelection to first-time senator john thune (r).

a us senator from south dakota he has helped many people out with health care and stuff. he servered four terms and became part of the democratic leadership in 2001. tom is truly a great senator.
