the practice of getting one green light after another because you happen to be driving in the same direction as a train running in parallel and at more or less the same speed next to the roadway you’re on. as you and the train approach a grade-level crossing, the train trips the traffic light in its favor, which then also favors drivers.
i went tripstreaming to the bank today and saved 10 minutes.
