similar to twixmas, except twixpiphany is the time between jan 1 and jan 6, when it is still technically ‘christmas’ as it is not yet twelfth night, but with new year celebrated and a return to work, consists of eating the last christmas leftovers (mince pies, twiglets etc) and the favourite phrase ‘have you still got that tree up?’
of course, in most european countries which actually have epiphany as a bank holiday, twixpiphany is the countdown to christmas’s closing party.
