urburbia
an area betwixt an urban center and suburbia, whose inhabitants enjoy the benefits of being urban and the convenience of the suburbs. generally the inhabitants prefer to refer to themselves as more urban than suburban hence urburban.
it’s nice to be back in urburbia…as in “i’d never live in the city again but moving to suburbia would be a slow, painful death”
a neighborhood in the outer boroughs or surrounding area of a large city with a decidedly suburban feel.
when i moved from the south bronx to pelham parkway it was inner city to urburbia. there was even horse riding stables at the end of my block!
