Valemount
valemount is a small village in the northern most part of the thompson okangan in british columbia. valemount is nestled in three mountain ranges; the rocky mountains, the monashee mountains, and the caribou mountains. it has a population of 1195 people
valemount is 35 km from mount robson provincial park and the famous berg lake trail.
summer temperatures range from +10ºc to +30ºc on average.
winter temperature is on average between -30ºc and +5ºc.
bc’s highway 5 runs north to south through the town. it is a 15 minute drive north to highway 16.
mt. terry fox is near valemount.
valemount is 3 to 4 hours away from prince george, 1 hour from jasper, alberta, and 3 to 4 hours from kamloops british columbia.
the main sources of income in valemount are logging and tourism.
