valencia is a soccer team from valencia, spain. it was founded on march 18, 1919 and plays in the primera división. their home stadium, the mestalla, has capacity for 55,000 spectators. it is the fifth spanish club with most t-tles in national compet-tions (14) and third most international t-tles behind real madrid and barcelona. studies conducted in 2005 and 2007 pointed to valencia as one of the 20 richest clubs on the planet. the club is the third in spain in number of members (65,000) and pep rallies, the famous peñas (700). a survey conducted in may 2007 by the centro de investigaciones sociology (cis) has appointed valencia as the third most popular club in spain (5.3%), behind only such giants real madrid and barcelona. it’s the world’s best team and its fans are known as los ches.
